My Journey in Yoga began in late 2012. I began my practice as a way to conquer anxiety and to bring a sense of balance back into my life. For me yoga has been like a friend I could always count on to have my back, lift me up, and remind me of who I am. Like many I would fall in and out of yoga. However, no matter how much time would pass between practices I knew I could always go back and my mat would be there. Yoga inspires me to live in the present moment and to always keep going and keep trusting.
I completed my 200-hour Vinyasa Flow training in 2014 with Chagrin Yoga and have been teaching slow flow for the past 3 years. Since starting yoga, I have aspired to making yoga available to children & teens in a fun and creative way; which led to completing my Children’s Yoga Certification with Kidding Around Yoga in 2016.
In my quest to have a greater understanding of the body and to be able to work more deeply with students I enrolled in the Cleveland Institute of Medical Massage and received my state license in January of 2018. Continuing my education has always been a high priority of mine; I have had so many wonderful teachers and am grateful every day for all they have taught me and continue to teach me.
Like my own Journey, in my classes you will find connection between breath and movement which will create balance between mind and body. Through creative flows and transitions it is my goal every class to help you access your own uniqueness and enhance your confidence. In slowing down the practice we are then able to mindfully move and feel each posture to its full capacity. Come find your own journey with me!!
I first discovered yoga in my living room through a series of VHS tapes. I then fell in love with yoga when I attended my first class at a yoga studio in 2003. Practicing with others in a studio energized me, while at the same time created a sense of peace and calmness in me that I was able to carry out of the studio into my daily life. Fifteen years later I still get these feelings after every class! As a runner, the strength, balance and flexibility you gain practicing yoga has been invaluable in seeing me through several injuries. I became a yoga teacher to share the gifts yoga has given me with others, and to help others find their own gifts through their own practice. I completed my 200-hour teacher training at the Source Energy Yoga Studio in October 2017. Off the mat I enjoy being outside, running, hiking, skiing, gardening and spending time with my husband and dogs.
My yoga Journey began in 2014. The first class I took was magical. I was instantly hooked and felt it's immediate healing abilities. I grew to love yoga more and more as the years progressed. One summer I had taken a trip to Dominican Republic. I lived in a tropical rain forest, in a tree house for one week. The experience was ethereal. The jungle possessed healing abilities. I felt the power within the rain, sun, sand, people, and lush forest. I wanted to somehow bring these amazing feelings home with me. So I had thought to myself what better way to bring physical, emotional, and spiritual healing to the world than by teaching yoga. Yoga brings me to a state of the most serene peace and I am here and ready to share it with my beautiful students.
